What BestPlaces Users Say about Boulder Creek

Boulder Creek, California is a small town located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, known for its beautiful redwood forests and outdoor recreation opportunities. With a population of just over 4,000, it offers a quiet and close-knit community for its residents. However, as with any place, there are both positive and negative aspects to living in Boulder Creek. In order to get a better understanding of what it's like to live in this town, I have gathered user reviews from the website Best Places. These reviews offer personal insights and experiences from individuals who have lived in Boulder Creek, giving a well-rounded perspective on the area.

One reviewer, John, has lived in Boulder Creek for over 20 years and has this to say: "Boulder Creek is a hidden gem in the mountains. It's a peaceful and beautiful place to live, surrounded by nature. The community is welcoming and supportive, and there are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy." Another resident, Sarah, echoes this sentiment, stating, "I moved to Boulder Creek a few years ago and I love it here. The pace of life is slower and the scenery is breathtaking. There's a strong sense of community and I feel safe and at home here."

However, not all reviews are positive. Emily, who has lived in Boulder Creek for 5 years, says, "While the scenery is great, the town itself lacks amenities and can feel isolated. It's also quite expensive to live here, with limited job opportunities." Similarly, Mark, a former resident, shares his experience: "I lived in Boulder Creek for a year and ultimately decided to move due to the high cost of living and lack of diversity. It's a beautiful area, but not very diverse or affordable."

In summary, the reviews about living in Boulder Creek are mostly positive, with residents praising the natural beauty and sense of community. However, there are also some concerns about the high cost of living and limited job opportunities. Ultimately, it seems that living in this small town is best suited for those who value a tranquil and nature-filled lifestyle.

Best weather! - 3/24/2007
Boulder Creek, CA is in the Santa Cruz mountains near San Jose, CA. It is a beautiful, woodsy mountain area with wonderful climate. It's hard to believe that the overly congested Silicon Valley is nearby. The coast is about 45 min away, so the temps are regulated somewhat by the marine layer. We do get a lot more rain up here than in Silicon Valley (San Jose and surrounding cities). But, rain is only in the winter, so it's not Read More
